Australia Awards Scholarships intake 2014 begins
The selection round for Australia Awards Scholarships (formerly Australian Development Scholarships – ADS) intake 2014 is officially open.
Up to 250 Australia Awards Scholarships will be available in Vietnam for Doctoral and Masters Degrees commencing in 2014. These are long-term development scholarships providing citizens of Vietnam with opportunities to obtain postgraduate qualifications at Australian tertiary institutions. Awards are reserved for central government officials, local government officials, people working on development issues, academics (including English Language teachers) and researchers.
Australia Awards Scholarships are aligned with Australia’s development assistance in Vietnam, targeting human resource gaps in identified priority sectors. They aim to provide awardees with the skills and knowledge to drive change and influence economic and social development.
AusAID offers awards on the basis of merit, transparency and equal access. Applications from disadvantaged rural areas, ethnic minorities and people with disability are strongly encouraged.
